Abstract: The quality of education depends upon the ability it imparts to make proper use of learning. Education can rarely free itself from social and cultural norms and has to relate it to the vital dimensions of the society.Globalization and technology advancement have put education on the highest platform in terms of its importance for the societal development and survival in the competitive world.Considering this, the need is to sharpen India’s knowledge edge and promote excellence in the educational system. There have always been ideas and theories how societies change the social dimensions of development, including aspects such as quality of life, modernity in attitudes, values, and beliefs. These features also play a significant role in shaping professionalism among teachers. It is essential to contemplate the ways in which education may and may not influence these factors to obtain a broader perspective of the overall relationship between education and development.Through the existing knowledge, we attempt to examine the importance of professionalism to ensure quality teaching in a global scenario with a focus on values and ethics
