Abstract: | The paper presents a systematic literature review of Agri-fresh supply chain management. This study emphasizes all the supply chain stages in the context of fruits and vegetables. A total of 184 relevant research publications from the year 2000 to mid-2020 were reviewed. The literature is classified based on year, across various countries, and Agri-fresh supply chain issues. The previous literature has been categorized into different issues such as post-harvest losses, technology, infrastructure, food safety, quality, logistics management, inventory management, performance management, awareness and knowledge of farmers, demand management, and pricing. Most of the research publications have concentrated on post-harvest losses and food safety aspects of the Agri-fresh supply chain. This paper provides an insight into various issues of the Agri-fresh supply chain. It uncovers the future research scope. The study includes only fresh produce such as fruits and vegetables; other perishable items like dairy, meat, flowers are excluded. |
