Abstract: The structure of agri-food supply chains (AFSCs) is getting increasingly complicated and therefore, more susceptible to various risks. Therefore, the associated risks with AFSCs must be efficiently managed to improve supply chain performance. In order to understand the risk propagation in the AFSC, a framework based on the identified risk factors is proposed in the current study. Risk assessment studies through the model to predict the impact of risk factors on supply chain performance are limited in previous studies. The goal of the present study is the risk factors identification to create a tool for assessing and determining the risk exposure to AFSC in India. The risk factors are identified through expert interviews and literature reviews. The proposed risk network illustrates the basic framework of associated risk factors in AFSC in India. The supply chain executives can anticipate the likelihood of any potentially disruptive risk factors in AFSC with suggested framework.
