A method using e.p.r. spectroscopy has been developed for determining the ratio of the number of segments in loops to the number in trains for polymers adsorbed at the solid/liquid interface. The method can be used on a wide variety of spin-free substrates and in most solvents useful information can be obtained not only about the adsorbed polymer, but also about the influence of other molecules, such as surfactants, on it.en_US
