Methods are described for treating the problem of unreactive dead-space when extracting kinetic parameters from total pressure measurements on simultaneous first-order decomposition reactions in a constant-volume gas kinetic system (A → C + D; B → C′+ D′). The proposed methods are verified by applying them to computer-generated “experimental” pressure against time data for systems with a wide range of parameter combinations.en_US
