Abstract: We estimate the transport coefficient like shear viscosity of hot hadronic matter in van der Walls hadron resonance gas (VDW HRG) model. We have compared the results of VDW HRG model with ideal HRG model and excluded volume hadron resonance (EV HRG ) model. We have calculated these coefficients in relaxation time approximation. decreases as the temperature of the hadronic system increases at a fixed baryon chemical potential. is always smaller in VDW HRG model compared to EV HRG model due to the large entropy density in VDW HRG compared to EV HRG case.
