dc.description.abstractA simple and efficient one-pot method has been described for the direct synthesis of ⍺-azidoketones from various ketones possess­ing ⍺-hydrogen by reaction with phenyltrimethyl­ammo­nium tribromide (PTT) and subsequent treatment with NaN3 in ionic liquid. The procedure gives high yield and the ionic liquid can be reused.en_US
