dc.description.abstract | A facile and high yielding synthesis of porphyrin appended thiazoles 5 from the reaction of 5-(4-thiocarboxamidophenyl)-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin with α-bromo ketones has been described. The fluorescence studies of synthesized porphyrin appended thiazoles 5 in chloroform indicate that porphyrin π system is not greatly perturbed by substitution of a thiazole moiety at meso-phenyl ring even in the excited state. | en_US |
