Abstract: | White organic light-emitting devices (WOLEDs) are of increasing interest because they can be used in flat-panel displays and as an alternative lighting source. WOLEDs coupled with color filter (CF) have become popular as one of the major methodologies to fabricate full color devices. This is primarily due to cost and mass production consideration in manufacturing as discreet red, green, and blue (RGB) pixilation process can be accomplished without using the precision shadow mask. However, introducing CF on WOLEDs significantly reduces light intensity and results in low efficiency for full-color displays. |
