Abstract: The future holds unlimited promise for the use of FRP in structural engineering applications. Using Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) rods is a new and promising technology for increasing flexural and shear strength of reinforced concrete (RC) members. There are a wide variety of techniques by which FRP components can be manufactured. Pultrusion, Hand lay-up, and filament winding are widely used in structural engineering applications, while other techniques such as pull-winding, resin transfer moulding, vacuum bag moulding, and injection moulding are used for manufacturing specialized composite materials. In this research work specialized equipment was made for manufacturing FRP bars. Tensile modulus and Tensile strength were theoretically calculated using the manufacturer's specifications and they were compared with the experimental results. Smart structures with FRP will undoubtedly become more important and widespread in the future.
