Abstract: | This paper presents a simulative analysis of 40Gb/s Return-to-Zero Differential Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (RZ-DQPSK) scheme under Self Phase Modulation (SPM) and Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) over three commonly utilized fiber types like Standard Single Mode Fiber (SMF), True-Wave Reduced Slope (TW-RS) and Large Effective Area Fibers (LEAF). The RZ-DQPSK is tested with 33% and 67% duty cycles. This analysis helps in selecting the best type of fiber for long-haul communication. |
