This paper aims to review the present scenarios in rooftop solar energy utilization of the capital city of India, Delhi and map the available rooftop potential present in the residential, commercial and public spheres. The paper also estimates the cost of production in these areas, identifying the issues and making relevant recommendations. This paper focusses on improving the efficiency of the solar charging process by implementing a digital Maximum Power Point Tracking based solar charge controller. The paper concludes by recommending various implementation strategies and policies which should be enacted to fully exploit the solar potential in Delhi.en_US
