dc.description.abstractThe compensation of transmission line reactance by means of series compensation is an effective method increasing the power transfer capacity and thereby improving the transient stability of the power system. This paper presents a novel series compensation method to increase the power capacity of the system. The proposed method is applied to a 9-bus power system.en_US
