This paper explores the principles of a valuable educational tool - Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) -- an application of Artificial Intelligence for the education domain. The paper discusses principles and state-of-the-art models of few ITS, the problems associated with Knowledge Engineering based ITS and provides a possible architecture to blend concepts of reciprocal tutoring with ITS. Some empirical work is necessary as proof-of-concept for the proposed architecture. |
