dc.description.abstract In the present study, we have focused on achieving promising anticancer compounds by design, newlinesynthesis and antiproliferative evaluation of synthesized compounds based on reported promising newlineanticancer agents. The synthesized compounds were subjected to study anticancer activity newlineagainst various cancer cell lines. newlineIn chapter 3, a series of sixty four fluoroquinolone analogues have been synthesized, and newlinecytotoxic evaluations of these molecules on human cancer cell lines by MTT assay, cell newlineproliferation assay were done. Among the synthesized compounds 3j, 3t, 6o, 8r and 8t exhibited newlinegood anticancer activity. newlineIn chapter 4 a series of twenty eight novel 2-(4-aminophenyl)benzothiazole analogues have been newlinesynthesized, characterized and evaluated their antiproliferative activity against A549, HeLa and newlineMDA MB-231 using sulforhodamine-B assay method. Among the synthesized compounds 13g, newline13j, 15k exhibited maximum growth inhibitory activity. en_US
