dc.description.abstract | In India temperature variations are large throughout the year and a treatment system which can work efficiently in cold as well as in warm climate is needed. A more heat resistant plant, duck weed lemna, has been cited. During the course of study it was found that the results obtained are promising. Various waste water parameters, namely COD, BOD, DO, TN, pH and Ni+2 were analysed for varying detention periods and the values obtained after treatment using the duck weed system were well within acceptable limits. | en_US |
