dc.description.abstract | An efficient network protocol architecture increases the data transport capability of a congested network. This paper presents a novel architecture to ease the traffic congestion in a Mesh and Ring network. The backbone of the architecture is to employ a Dummy node which serves a particular number of nodes, diverting their traffic to ease the congestion in the network. A probabilistic model has been developed for the proposed network architecture and simulated in MATLAB environment. The investigation reports a reduction in the average number of packets and average waiting time of packets in a buffer ensuring better Quality of Service. | en_US |
