    Agro-tourism: a literature review
(CRC Press, 2023) Goyal, Praveen; Chadha, Saurabh
For many centuries, the agricultural sector has been considered an important sector of the economy. Over a while, the contribution of this sector to economic growth has declined for various reasons. These reasons include rapid industrialization, migration to the urban areas, more focus on white-collar jobs, and a decline in agricultural land resulting in the downfall in the farmer’s income. Governments across the globe, in general, and especially in developing economies, are exploring various ways to increase the income of rural households. Agro-tourism has emerged as an important way to increase farmers’ income globally. Governments are implementing various policies to promote agro-tourism activities. In recent years, this concept has captured the interest of scholars, practitioners, and policymakers and further resulted in the growth of research in this field. This study presents a review of the literature in the field of agro-tourism. The literature for the study was collected from the Scopus database using specific keywords. Research studies published in the last 20 years were collected for the review. The study results show a significant growth in the literature in the field of agro-tourism across the globe.

Co-creation of intangible brand assets: an integrative S-D logicorganic view of brand-based conceptual framework
    (Elgar Online, 2022-03) Goyal, Praveen
Service-Dominant (S-D) logic has sparked a renewed conceptualization of brands, which are considered as experiential processes co-created by service system actors. Drawing on this S-D logic-based reconceptualization of brands, in conjunction with the Organic view of the Brand (OVB), we offer insight into the deployment of value co-creation as a strategic tool for developing intangible brand assets. We also outline specific actors' brand-related resource contributions that are conducive to value co-creation's development. Based on these analyses, we propose a conceptual framework that highlights relevant service system actors' brand-related contributions in co-creating the key intangible brand assets of brand heritage, brand identity, and brand meaning. We conclude by pointing out important implications that arise from these analyses.

A comprehensive assessment of the techno-socio-economic research growth in electric vehicles using bibliometric analysis
(Springer, 2021-10) Bansal, Hari Om; Goyal, Praveen
Electric vehicles (EVs) have proved capable of solving many of the environment’s problems such as reducing harmful pollutants’ emission along with having greater motor efficiency than gasoline vehicles. This study presents a bibliometric analysis of 10,426 publications from the year 1989 to 2020, obtained from Web of Science™ (WoS) core collection (CC). An initial citation analysis was done using Histcite to identity the leading nations, institutes, authors, and journals performing research related to EVs. Following this, a co-citation analysis was performed using VOSviewer, which generates clusters that are further analyzed to identify the key domains in EV research. A research overview in EVs over the last three decades is presented that can serve various stakeholders in this field of study. The results of this study will highlight the critical research areas in the field of EVs. Additionally, it will also provide various insights that may help the policymakers, practitioners and associations to accelerate EV adoption by the end-users.

Corporate sustainability performance assessment: an analytical hierarchy process approach
    (Inder Science, 2014-10) Goyal, Praveen
The objective of this study is to develop a model to measure the corporate sustainability performance of the oil and gas industry using an analytical hierarchy process. A top-down approach was used for selecting sustainability indicators based on three dimensions: social, environmental and economic. The model was applied to the case company to assess sustainability performance and for validation purposes. The assessment discloses a little improvement in corporate sustainability performance of the company. Therefore, the model may help analyse corporate sustainability performance in view of a competitive advantage in the long run. This model will also help stakeholders assess the sustainability performances of particular companies and their relative performances with competitors. This model may help develop a set of standards for a particular sector so companies may improve their sustainability performance.

Exploring the drivers of digital transformation in Indian organisations: a multi-sector study
    (Inder Science, 2023-09) Goyal, Praveen
Digital transformation (DT) has presented tremendous opportunities and challenges to organisations. By leveraging continuously emerging digital technologies, organisations are increasingly pursuing to make their business models efficient and smart. Consequently, research on DT has gained significant momentum in academia and practice. Although many studies present insights about DT as a phenomenon, the underlying factors encouraging such transformations are not frequently evaluated and discussed, and less so in Indian context. This study addresses this research gap by conducting a multiple case study of six organisations engaged in DT and identifying primary reasons driving the organisations towards DT. These factors are broadly classified into four categories - business innovation and process improvement, business sustainability, internal digital aspirations, and unplanned external exigencies. The study empirically identifies the drivers of DT that beginner organisations can use to address 'where to start for DT'. The well-established organisations can use these drivers as a baseline to assess, contextualise and strategise their DT efforts to improve the success rates of their DT endeavours
