Item Quenching of Pyrene Sulphonate Fluorescence in Inverse Micelles(Journal of the Chemical Society : Faraday Transaction - I. The Chemical Society, London. 1977, 73 (10), 1977) Miller, Dennis J; Klein, Uwe K. A; Hauser, ManfredThe fluorescence of 1-pyrene sodium sulphonate solubilised in benzene solutions of cetylbenzyl-dimethylammonium chloride/bromide is quenched by the bromide. The quenching constant is not markedly affected by the addition of water, which hardly dilutes the ionic layer.
