Spectral and antimicrobial studies of organotin(IV) complexes of bidentate Schiff bases having nitrogen and sulphur donor system
    (Degruyter, 2001-01) Khungar, Bharti
The complexes of composition R2Sn(L)2 and RjSnL (where R = butyl and L = monoanion of Schiff bases of S-benzyldithiocarbazate) have been prepared by the reaction of Schiff bases with metal oxides. The newly synthesized complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, conductance measurements and molecular weight determinations. The mode of bonding and geometry of the complexes have been suggested on the basis of IR, UV and multinuclear 'H, i3C and Sn NMR spectral studies. Schiff bases and their tin complexes have also been screened for their antibacterial activities, as several bacteria are quite active in this respect

Multinuclear Magnetic Resonance and Related Studies of Coordination Compounds of Organosilicon with Mixed Azines
(Taylor & Francis, 2008-07) Khungar, Bharti
New hexa-coordinated complexes of organosilicon (IV) have been synthesized by the reactions of diethoxydimethylsilane with the mixed azines. Their structures have been inferred based on elemental analysis, UV, IR, and multinuclear magnetic resonance spectral studies. The monomeric and nonelectrolytic nature of these complexes has been confirmed by molecular weight determinations and conductance measurements. The mixed azines and their silicon complexes also have been screened for their antimicrobial activities against several fungi and bacteria and were found to be quite active in this respect.
