Item Measuring the effectiveness of success factors: a case of government funded R&D organisations in India(Inder Science, 2010-06) Tikoria, JyotiThe process of globalisation and liberalisation has affected research organisations. India is no exception to this. On this background, it is interesting to study the response of government funded research organisations. The purpose of this paper is to assess the effectiveness and impact of the factors in government funded R&D organisations in India, which affect their performance. The study has used the questionnaire survey method. The survey was focused on the opinion of the scientists and R&D managers working in eight government funded R&D organisations in India. Project management skills has come out to be best predictor of performance of Indian Government funded R&D organisation followed by customer focus and market orientation, top management commitment and organisation culture and human resource focus. Owing to difficulty in approaching all the departments, the study is limited for a small group of Indian Government funded R&D organisations.Item Modelling the success factors for national R&D organizations: a case of India(Emerald, 2010) Tikoria, JyotiNational policy makers in India have realized that the research and development (R&D) performance of India has not been up to the benchmark. This paper aims to identify and develop the structural cause and effect relationship among various factors that affect the performance of national R&D organizations in India.
