The evolution of pro-environmental behavior research in three decades using bibliometric analysis
    (Wiley, 2024-03) Goyal, Praveen
Pro-environmental behavior plays a pivotal role in mitigating adverse environmental conditions like climate change and greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, the current study aims to demonstrate the evolution of pro-environmental behavior research and determine the emerging areas of this research field. This study employs a bibliometric approach encompassing temporal, co-word, citation, and bibliographic coupling ana- lyses using SciMAT and VOS Viewer to analyze 1824 articles extracted from Scopus, spanning the period from 1993 to 2022. The findings of bibliometric analysis reveal that (i) After the introduction of sustainable development goals, the research on pro- environmental behavior has considerably evolved and gained enormous diversity, (ii) the predominant research themes include ecotourism, sustainable consumption behavior, and corporate social responsibility, (iii) green behavior and green marketing are the two significant emerging research areas. This study would facilitate research practitioners and academicians in comprehending evolving trends and identifying avenues for future research.

Green advertising: a hybrid literature review using citation and TCM analysis
(Emerald, 2025-01) Goyal, Praveen; Chanda, Udayan
Given the multifaceted nature of research in green advertising (GA), it is critical to holistically review the extant literature to understand their contributions. This study aims to perform a hybrid literature review by combining citation analysis and a theory-context-method (TCM) framework to map the conceptual development of GA in the past three decades.

CTR Prediction: A Bibliometric Review of Scientific Literature
(CRC Press, 2023) Sharma, Yashvardhan; Chanda, Udayan
Internet giants like Google, Facebook, and Amazon have relied heavily on revenue from online advertising sales in recent years. The Click-through rate of an advertisement is the percentage of people who clicked it out of those who viewed it. The CTR as a metric represents the performance of their online advertisements. For over two decades now, researchers in academia and industry have paid great attention to getting good CTR prediction accuracy because of the demand it has generated in the digital world. This paper reviews the scholarly literature on CTR prediction during the previous decade by a bibliometric analysis of 1051 publications from journals indexed by Scopus. The goals of this research are to (1) conduct a structured quantitative analysis of the bibliometric data, (2) chart the development of CTR Prediction research, and (3) identify the most recent and relevant research literature and viewpoints in the field. A handful of studies have been conducted on this subject, and they have presented an in-depth analysis of specific methods and learning models being applied for CTR prediction. In addition to the previously submitted studies, this literature review aims to provide an overall bibliometric analysis showing the evolution of techniques employed for CTR prediction in the articles published over the last ten years, using a combination of bibliographic coupling, citation, and co-citation. The outcome of this literature evaluation will aid future researchers in gaining a deeper comprehension of the scientific studies around CTR prediction.

The impact of co-creation and co-invention in supply chains: a bibliometric review
    (Emerald, 2022-11) Routroy, Srikanta
Co-creation and co-invention are two diverse spheres in modern-day supply chains. Despite literature suggesting the existence of similar coherence between these concepts, the availability of published theory favoring these ideal lacks justification. This research aims to investigate the correlation and convergence of these well-known concepts to support a combined impact on research.

Understanding fish waste management using bibliometric analysis: A supply chain perspective
    (Sage, 2022-09) Routroy, Srikanta
Food loss and waste have become an issue of global significance, considering their concurrent effects on the socioeconomic and environmental facet of society. Despite this domain gaining prolific attention recently, issues hampering the effective utilization of residues from fish processing usually go unidentified in developing economies such as India. This occurs mainly owing to fragmented supply chains, inappropriate handling, discontinuous cold chains, inadequate temperature monitoring and so on, affecting quality and causing underuse. Any researcher trying to understand the prospects of utilizing these fish processing co-streams in a developing economy with the vision of improving consumption, economic sustainability, reducing discards and promoting circularity faces a lacuna. The authors address this demand in research by identifying the validity of this domain both in the global and native research community by conducting a detailed review using bibliometric analysis and content analysis. Data from Scopus with 717 documents, comprising 612 research articles from 78 countries, 1597 organizations and 2587 authors, are analysed. Results signify (i) developing a focus on hydroxyapatite production, bio-methane generation, transesterification processes, biomass and the rest raw material generated from fish processing, and (ii) reduced research on supply chain-related aspects despite their considerable importance. To comprehend this deficiency, especially in the Indian stance, barriers hindering the utilization of generated by-products are identified, and recommendations for improvements are proposed. The results will provide the struts for a circular and sustainable supply chain for processed seafood in developing economies.

A bibliometric analysis of circular economy concept in E-waste research during the period 2008–2020
(Elsevier, 2021) Routroy, Srikanta; Dasgupta, Mani Sankar
This paper provides an overview of standard literature publications during 2008–2020 on e-waste linked circular economy concept using bibliometric analysis. It presents key topic of waste to wealth and reduction of an environmental hazard. As applied in e-waste management, the concept of circular economy has received considerable attention among the research community over the past few decades. The Scopus database is utilized to retrieve the peer-reviewed articles from 2008 to 2020. A total of 326 publications were identified to focus on e-waste and circular economy. The parameters examined are document type, year wise and journal wise distribution, top authors, top citation and keywords. After that, VOSviewer software is used to visualize the current trends as well as the recent hotspots. It is observed that the topic of a circular economy is encircled by various issues such as e-waste, reuse, recycle, and sustainability in a density map of frequency of appearance of keywords. A few factors are also identified for improved e-waste management and for achieving the sustainable development goals of 2030 though minimized utilization of natural resources.

A Systematic Literature Review and Bibliometric Analysis of Recycling Behavior
(Taylor & Francis, 2020-06) Goyal, Praveen
As society moves closer to sustainability, recycling becomes one of the core concepts of sustainable behavior. Recycling behavior research is receiving extensive attention from various disciplines because of the increasing prioritization of resource recovery and management by policymakers and industry. This article provides a clear view of the progression of publications and research diversification within the domain. The 788 articles which focused on consumers’ or households’ recycling behavior were analyzed using software. Resources, Conservation and Recycling was the top contributing journal, and Stewart Barr was the top contributing author. With the help of citation analysis and bibliographic coupling, the intellectual structure of recycling behavior research was obtained, showing that the research had diversified into seven identifiable clusters. The research in the area was initially focused on environmental behaviors and their determinants, household recycling behavior and behavioral theories like the Theory of Planned Behavior. Other focus areas that aid in research progression were spillover effects, past behavior, habits and behavior change. These clusters further provided the base for research on recycling behavior toward specific product categories. The content analysis of the lead papers in each cluster further helps in disclosing the foundations of and future directions of research.
