In this paper, we propose a novel modulation scheme for molecular communications via a diffusion-based system that aims at speeding up the inherently slow diffusion-based modulation schemes. The proposed scheme employs a run-length aware system that works in tandem with a combination of two baseline techniques, namely, pulse position and concentration shift keying modulation. Unlike the existing multi-molecule modulation schemes, this scheme achieves a high data rate and reduced error using a single-molecule type.en_US
