dc.description.abstractIt gives us immense pleasure to present the PU Handout for the placement season 2016-17. The document aims to provide you with a wealth of information that would help you to make important decisions related to your placements and academics. Being a first time effort, there are a number of areas where in the information is incomplete - especially in the job descriptions given at the end of the document. We urge you to get in touch with us directly to clarify doubts, and also write to us at pu.bitspilani@gmail.com for information regarding specific companies. A word of caution. Placements is an extremely volatile area, and changes based on a number of factors such as market conditions, recruiter relationships and business constraints. Please read through the document with the awareness that the trend for a certain year may not be the trend for the next year. Hence, a streams that did not do well in a particular year may well be the best placed in the following year. The statistics presented here are at best indicative.en_US
