Apparatus for the preparation, and measurement of the conductance, of solutions of lithium, sodium and potassium in hexamethylphosphoramide is described. The time- and concentration- dependence of the conductance of these solutions have been measured and are discussed. The results of some e.s.r. measurements are also presented.en_US
