    (Inder Science, 2017-07) Tikoria, Jyoti
The research study aims at developing and validating a CRM scale in the context of the Indian airline sector for enhancing business excellence. The robust methodology of scale development is used to develop the scale consisting of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Finally validated scale consists of six factors named as perceived value, process orientation, commitment, technology and support staff, top of range positioning, and customisation and repurchase intentions. These factors should be given utmost importance from the airline company's point of view for better retention and repatronage of customers as well as for overall business excellence. Novelty of the research work lies in developing the CRM scale for the Indian airline sector as there is no such study available in the literature. Managerially, it will help the management of various airline companies to identify the most critical areas for improvement and acting accordingly. This will ultimately have a significant effect on the Indian economy because of the sectoral contribution in GDP. The major limitations of the study lie in terms of sample size and generalisability of the proposed scale in different national context.

Dimensions influencing business intelligence and analytics maturity: a critical analysis
    (Inder Science, 2021-05) Tikoria, Jyoti
The importance of business intelligence and analytics (BI&A) as a capability in an organisation has grown over the years. In order to assess the state of BI&A, managers today need to identify the critical dimensions which influence the maturity of BI&A capability. A wide range of maturity models (MMs) have been developed, for the purpose of assessment of BI&A capability maturity. Managers may find it difficult to select the appropriate MM to use especially with the changing characteristics of data over time and advent of big data. Each of these models has multiple dimensions which are not necessarily exhaustive and distinct. This study consolidates the large number of dimensions found across 29 BI&A MMs in extant literature. With help of an expert panel, a set of six distinct and critical dimensions needed for assessing BI&A capability in organisations have been identified. Qualitative research tool NVIVO is used for analysis of the research articles.

Emerging trends and impact of business intelligence & analytics in organizations: Case studies from India
    (Sage, 2020-11) Tikoria, Jyoti
Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) has an increasing impact on decision making and business performance within most organizations today. These organizations regularly invest in resources required for BI&A. What is the impact of this investment? Which functions of the business does BI&A impact? Are there any trends seen in the usage and effectiveness of BI&A? Are these trends different across organizations with different levels of BI&A capability maturity? The purpose of this study was to discover patterns in the usage and effectiveness of BI&A across organizations which are at different levels of BI&A maturity. In the first phase of the study, the data sample was taken from 145 organizations in India. It was analyzed using the data mining technique – k-means clustering. The organizations were grouped into six clusters based on factors influencing BI&A capability maturity. In the second phase of the study, one case organization is taken from each cluster to gain deeper insights. In-depth interviews were conducted with a respondent from each case organization to understand the state of BI&A, the usage and effectiveness of BI&A. The interviews were analyzed using thematic analysis method in NVIVO 12 plus. The study identified the key characteristics which represented the state of BI&A capability maturity in the organization cluster. Findings show that groups of organization which had higher maturity of BI&A capability were using BI&A across larger number of functional areas and also experiencing the effectiveness of BI&A in more areas than the organizations which had lower maturity of BI&A capability.

(Emerald, 2024-10) Bhat, Anil Kumar; Tikoria, Jyoti
This study investigates the impact of financial literacy on consumers’ intention to purchase life insurance policies with a framing effect. Although life insurance companies use framing to nudge consumers, this marketing tactic fails to foster long-term relationships and informed decisions. A field research of nascent social entrepreneurs intention formation
(Elgaronline, 2020-05) Bhat, Anil Kumar; Tikoria, Jyoti
The objective of this study is to identify the role and robustness of social entrepreneurial education, social entrepreneurial self-efficacy, empathy and moral obligation in predicting social entrepreneurial intentions. A 37-item questionnaire was answered by 200 nascent social entrepreneurs who are engaged in executing a new business idea and enrolled in universities in India. Perceived feasibility was found to be the strongest predictor of social entrepreneurial intention followed by empathy. Through this study the authors aim to address two major weaknesses in the current literature on social entrepreneurship: the limited scope of student samples used in most of the research studies, and the lack of empirical studies that attempt to translate social entrepreneurial intentions into behaviour. This chapter addresses conceptual and methodological issues associated with analysing the intention–behaviour relationship.

ICT enabled classroom effectiveness scale development and validation: A case of multi-campus university
    (Knowledge Management & E-Learning, 2017-10) Tikoria, Jyoti
The research work aims at developing a valid and reliable scale for ICT (Information and communication technology) enabled classroom effectiveness from student’s perspective in a multi-campus university setting. A standard methodology for scale development is used for developing and validating the scale which comprises of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. The sample population was the students from a premier multi-campus university. The results revealed ICT enabled classroom effectiveness as a multi-dimensional construct comprising of four factors namely class design and infrastructure; scheduling and coordination; technical support staff; and resource availability. Although a plethora of literature is available in the domain of e-learning, none of them have considered the aspects of ICT enabled classroom effectiveness specifically in an Indian multi-campus university. The limitation of the study lies in terms of sample size and generalizability. Emphasizing the identified factors will give a cutting edge advantage for the universities by enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of ICT enabled classroom teaching.

Performance measurement of national R&D organisations using analytic hierarchy process: a case of India
    (Inder Science, 2009) Tikoria, Jyoti
Evaluating and comparing the performance of different R&D organisations in a homogeneous or heterogeneous group in the fairest way is a very complex and yet challenging task. This paper provides a framework and a system to the national policy makers and the performance monitoring committee for designing a standard multiple performance measurement criteria for evaluating and comparing the performance of national R&D organisations. In this paper, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) technique has been applied to develop the framework of multiple performance measurement criteria, deriving their respective weights and system for comparing the performance of a group of Indian national R&D organisations involved in applied as well as basic research in chemical and botanical sciences. The framework and the system developed have been applied by taking an illustration to evaluate and compare the performance of six national R&D organisations in terms of their benefit-cost ratio.
